Campbeltown whisky distilleries

Campbeltown, on the Kintyre peninsula, was once home to dozens of distilleries and called itself the whisky capital of the world. Only a handful remain today, but it is still recognised as a whisky region in its own right.

Its whiskies are often described as briny and robust, somewhere between the Highlands and Islay.
